Hello to all alumni and past and present faculty,

You are invited to the third year of Alumni Book Club, ABC 2023!

This informal group meets virtually and in person every few months to discuss a passage or work of your choice with the esteemed Adam Schmalzbauer! The goal is to engage the community of our alums through a low-effort and accessible work of fiction that can be the foundation of great conversation and a great excuse to see each other again! There is no commitment to return but we'd love to see you.

In the past we've read great works of fiction ranging from Flannery O'Connor to Dostoyevsky. We choose a new book every meeting and would love to hear your suggestions!

The inaugural meeting of ABC 2023 will be January 9th at 6:30pm and we'll be reading The Jeweler's Shop, by Pope Saint John Paul II. While I would suggest you buy this little gem, I was able to find a pdf online. If you create an account here, you can view the pdf for 2 weeks.

It's been so lovely to see old teachers and students come together to talk about great books and ideas. I'm deeply grateful to Adam Schmalzbauer for giving us his time and room to meet. I'm looking forward to seeing some of you in January and please do spread the word so that as many new alumni as possible can be made aware of this ongoing group!
