SUMMARY: Alumni Book Club with Mr. Schmalzbauer - Homer's Odyssey
DESCRIPTION: After wrapping up our academic year with The Gambler by Dostoyevsky, we decided to adjust the format of Alumni Book Club slightly. From now on we will meet 2-3 times in the academic year, hopefully with enough months and large holidays in between that we can read larger works of literature. Adam has mentioned that he reads Homer's Odysseyevery summer, so we thought we would join him in the endeavor and reconvene in October to discuss this iconic epic poem. If you've ever read the Odyssey or want to finish reading it after high school, now is your chance! Bring any translation you like as it will add to the discussion! We will meet again on October 9th, 2023 at 6:30pm in person and online. We'd love to see you there.
